We are told to look at the beauty that surrounds us. We tend to write off the sad, despair, and the ugly. We refuse to acknowlege that these too are a part of life and should not be simply cast off. At one time this was a thriving vibrant almost living thing, through our own denials and doubts we casted it off and left it to die on its own. That speaks volumes on us and our values. Not everything in life is going to be pretty but we can take what we have use it wisely and improve upon. Things wear out but just to leave and forget I think not. We should dignify the end and and not leave it to rot. A rebirth or a replacement would would be more respectful--abandonment is is not a kind thing either to people or things.
